Danish broadcaster, DR, have announced today that 562 songs have been submitted to the broadcaster with the aim of making it to the country's national selection for Eurovision 2010, Melodi Grand Prix. A familiar name with eurofans, DQ (Denmark 2007) signs one of the candidacies.
The Danish national final is scheduled to take place on the 6th of February in Aalborg. A total of 10 acts will make it to the grand finale. Six of them will be chosen by a professional jury and the remaining 4 will be well-established artists, invited to participate in the show by the broadcaster DR as wildcards.
One of the artists confirmed to participate at this early stage of the Danish national selection for Eurovision 2010 is DQ, the country's representative at the 2007 running of the Eurovision Song Contest, held in Helsinki. DQ didn't manage to qualify from the semifinal.
Denmark placed 13th this year in Moscow with Believe again, sung by Brinck.
