The video is here! Omar Naber, Slovenia’s representative at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, has unveiled the music video of his forthcoming Eurovision entry, On my way.

Recent weeks have seen production behind the official music video of the Slovenian Eurovision entry finalised and completed, with the presentation taking place earlier this evening.

New arrangement presented

As was revealed last month, changes to the final arrangement of the entry were made with the help of the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra. Speaking of the changes, Omar Naber revealed:

The song has undergone quite a transformation. I’m even more excited over the new arrangement.

The official music video was filmed with Naber together with the talented dancer and winner of Slovenia’s Got Talent 2015, Jernej Kozan.

Going alone on his way to Kyiv

Details regarding Naber’s staging for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest were unveiled earlier last month, in which it was revealed that, as with his EMA 2017 performance, the singer will take to the stage on his own with no backing singers or performers.

Naber spoke of the reasons behind the decision to go solo on stage:

At Eurovision, I will be on the stage by myself. The song deserves intimacy, loneliness, because it talks about solitude – I am lost, lonely.

I wrote the song some time ago, in a moment of weakness, loneliness, when I did not know what to do. And I think, if we invite accompanying vocalists or dancers on stage, it would undermine the intimacy. Therefore, we decided together as a team that I will perform alone.

Slovenia will compete in 17th position in the first semi-final on the 9 May, with Naber hoping to bring the nation back to the final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Will Naber be on his way to the final with the latest revamp?
