esctoday.com is currently searching for the best song of this Eurovision Song Contest decade. The first round of voting, where the favourite song of each country is chosen, will close tonight at 23:59 CET, so take your last chance to vote! Furthermore, we want to reveal the semi final allocation for the second round.

Vote

You can find the links to all polls here.

How does it work?

The best song of the decade will be chosen in two rounds:

  1. In the first round, the best song of each country is chosen. San Marino and Slovakia both only had one song taking part in this decade so those two are directly qualified for the second round. Having been submitted by the Serbian broadcaster, the 2004 entry from Serbia & Montenegro was added to the list of Serbia while the 2005 entry was added to the list of Montenegro.
  2. The 46 songs that reach the second round will be allocated in two semi finals. A poll will be held, where every reader can choose his or her favourite song. The top eleven of each semi final will go forward to the grand final. A twelfth song for each semi final will be chosen by an esctoday.com jury. This joker is supposed to give overlooked fan favourites another chance.
  3. 24 song will compete in the grand final. Every reader can choose his or her favourite song in the poll and thebest song of the decade will of course be the one that reaches the highest amount of points.

The polls for the first semi final will open tomorrow, Monday, 21st September around 2:00 am CET. The voting for the first semi final will take place until 24th September, when the polls for the second semi final will be opened. Those polls will remain open until 27th September, when the line-up for the grand final will be revealed and the final poll will be opened. The eventual winner will be revealed on 4th October.
