ABBA's main songwriters and composers of their world hits, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus are to appear at a special concert in central London paying tribute to the Swedish band this fall.

ABBA, the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 are to give their single concert in London's Hyde Park on 13th September 2009. Some facts have been confirmed by now, and these are:

  • Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus along with the full West End Cast of the musical Mamma Mia! are to take part in the concert.
  • It has been confirmed not long ago that Lulu, the Scottish singer and songwriter, television personality, actress and model, will participate as well. She will be performing ABBA's hit Gimme gimme gimme on the night of the 13th.
  • Grammy Award winner and American singer-song writer Chaka Khan will perform The winner takes it all, a ballad released as the first single from the band's Super trouper album in July 1980.
  • Along with others, British band The Feeling will sing Knowing me, knowing you, which was the first single released from ABBA's 1977 album Arrival.
  • Radio 2 presenter and the queen of the Theater-land, Elaine Paige will sing the classic 1985 hit duet I know him so well from the musical Chess, with the production's original Svetlana, Irish singer Siobhan McCarthy.
  • Jodie Prenger, the winner of BBC One's I'd do anything and who is currently starring in the new West End production of Oliver!, will perform One of us. The track is from ABBA's final studio album as a group, The Visitors.
