Sacha Baron Cohen, the British commedian that has spawned characters including Ali G, Borat and Brüno is set to create a new character for a spoof movie about the Eurovision Song Contest. The film is backed by Working Title and is scheduled for a 2011 release.

Digital Spy reports that Sacha Baron Cohen has received backing from Working Title films (who created the Bridget Jones, Billy Elliot, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Elizabeth, Love Actually, Notting Hill and Robin Hood films) and there is a scheduled release for 2011.

Sacha Baron Cohen's latest two films, Borat and Brüno are based on characters from non-participating Eurovision Song Contest countries, Kazakhstan and Austria respectively. It is believed that a new character is being created for the movie. The Sun newspaper reports that Cohen and his writing partner, Dan Mazin "thought it better for Sacha to dream up another character – and the scope for an oddball creation is huge."
