In a surprise twist in the Lithuanian national selection for Eurovision 2017, the country’s national broadcaster LRT has decided to bring in a wildcard act which will compete in this Saturday’s final.
Following 9 weeks of competition in Lithuania, this Saturday will see the grand final of the country’s Eurovision national selection, Eurovizija 2017, in which a total of 6 acts have been selected to compete in from the semi-final stage.
However, LRT has decided to introduce a wildcard act to the final of the selection, making it a total of 7 finalists all set to compete in Saturday’s final. But who are the potential wildcard acts?

LRT has shortlisted a total of 6 acts, each of whom were eliminated from earlier rounds of the selection, in which the act receiving the highest percentage of votes will qualify to the final of Eurovizija 2017.
The potential wildcard acts are the following:
- Sasha Song – Never felt like this before
- Edgaras Lubys – Could it be?
- Lolita Zero – Get frighten
- Mia – Sacrifice
- Ieva Zasimauskaitė – You saved me
- Queen of Roses – Fisherman

Eurovizija 2017 final this Saturday
This weekend will see the final of Eurovizija 2017 take place in which a current total of 6, soon to be 7, acts will compete for the right to represent the nation at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
So far, the final acts consist of the following:
- Paula – Let u go
- Aistė Pilvelytė – I’m like a wolf
- Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė – Love shadow
- Fusedmarc – Rain of revolution
- Gabrielius Vagelis – Feel myself free
- Greta Zazza – Like I love you
- Wildcard act
As with previous shows, the winner of Eurovizija 2017 will be determined via a combined public and jury vote; the act which receives the highest percentage of the final votes will go on to represent Lithuania at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
