Alf Poier, who was chosen to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 last Friday, risks a possible disqualification, as his song might have been published prior to February 24th, a date set by the Austrian broadcaster ORF prior to which no participating songs ought to be released commercially.

Poier's latest CD, which was initially released in November 2002 was released again lately, this time including his Eurovision entry “Weil der Mensch zählt”. It is unclear if the new version reached the shops too early and ORF is now engaging further investigations.
