The Slovenian national final for Eurovision 2017 will take place on the 24th of February and Jamala will be there!
Jamala, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, will perform as an interval act during the Slovenian national final on the 24th of February where the Ukrainian winner will sing on the EMA 2017 stage the night when the country will choose their representative for Kyiv.
Jamala will not be alone in her EMA performance this Friday as she will be joined by 2 other former Eurovision participants; Tony Cetinski, who represented Croatia at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, will take to the stage along with last year’s EMA winner and Slovenian representative, ManuElla.
EMA 2017 final this Friday
EMA 2017 takes place this Friday 24th February live on TV SLO1 from 20:00 CET. The national selection has 8 finalists who will compete to earn the right to represent Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. One the night, the song will be chosen via 50% jury and 50% televoting. The songs are:
- Sell Out – Ni panike
- Nuška Drašček – Flower in the snow
- Tim Kores – Open fire
- Nika Zorjan – Fse
- KiNG FOO – Wild ride
- Omar Naber – On my way
- BQL – Heart of gold
- Raiven – Zažarim
Slovenia will compete in the second half of the first semi-final on the 9 May in the hope of qualifying to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on the 13 May.
