Eurovision 2017: New Organizing Team members appointed

The Ukrainian national broadcaster NTU aka UA:PBC has announced  the names of the new Eurovision 2017 Organizing Team members.

There have been some changes in 2017 Eurovision Organizing Team after last week’s resignations. The following new members have been appointed:  Ms. Larisa Koval (Commercial Director), Kirill Voronin (Event Manager) and Mr. Oleh Zapadnyuk (Head of Security). Their nominations have been approved by the EBU. These professionals have extensive experience in doing large-scale international projects.

Mr. Pavlo Hrytsak (Deputy Head of JSC “UA: PBC”) commented on the changes in the team after the resignation of the former team members left the Eurovision project:

We have already found the candidates, it only took 72 hours. This has been  possible due to the support of all the state structures and Kyiv authorities. There are many highly skilled professionals in the market who are suitable for these jobs.

Ms. Larisa Koval (Commercial Director) has been working at NTU aka UA:PBC since 2000. She has been involved in the organization of events such as the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest and the 2009 and 2013 JESC, the Euro 2012 and the 2016 Ukrainain Eurovision  national selection.

Mr. Kirill Voronin (Event Manager) has over seven years of experience in planning and organizing events, including working for government agencies His work includes: The Days of Europe in Ukraine and Moldova (9 cities) commissioned by the EU Delegation in Ukraine, The European Village (European village) etc.

Mr. Oleh Zapadnyuk (Head of Security) has 22 years of experience in the law enforcement system. He has was involved in the organization of public security during the matches of the UEFA Cup football tournament in 2009 and 2012, and at Euro 2012.

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
