Georgia: Tako Gachechiladze wins national final with Keep The Faith!

We have our second song of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest! Tako Gachechiladze has won the Georgian national final and will represent the nation in Kyiv this coming May with the song Keep the faith.

This evening saw a total of 25 acts competing for the right to represent Georgia at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, each of whom were performing for the votes from both the public and jury.

Each of the 25 acts took to the stage this evening and performed their bidding entries live for the very first time. Colourful graphics, smoke machines and stage-filled choreography was seen in tonight’s show, with each act making an impression on the viewing public and jury.

Following the 25 performances, voting was opened for a total 15 minutes, giving the public a chance to vote for the act they would like to see in Kyiv this coming May. In the meantime, we saw a performance from the 2016 representatives Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz of Midnight gold.

The votes are in!

With the jury votes announced and Tako Gachechiladze taking the lead with 98 points, it was down to the public vote to help determine the next Georgian Eurovision representative, but who would it be?

Combined with the televote, it was Tako Gachechiladze won tonight’s national final and will therefore represent Georgia at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Keep the faith. Listen to the 2017 Georgian entry below!
