Christina Metaxa, Cypriot representative in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest spoke to esctoday.com. The 16-year-old singer is one of the youngest contestants this year and a newcomer to the music business. Her entry is written by her brother Nikolas Metaxas, who became famous through a talent search on television.

Christina spoke about her second rehearsal which took place on Friday. She will represent at number seven in the second semi final on 14th May with her song Firefly. Last year, Cyprus was eliminated after the second semi final when Evdokia Kadirepresented the country with the song Femme fatale and finished 15th.The last time Cyprus appeared in the final was in2005.
