The second show of Rising Star 2017 was aired this evening. Following yesterday’s 105 minutes long program, tonight’s 30 minutes brought us two additional acts who will continue fighting for the Israeli ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.

A participant had to get at least 70% positive votes during the performance in order to qualify. Each of the four judges had 10% while the rest of the votes came from the audience in the TV studios during the filming, all voting yes or no for a specific act.

Tonight’s qualifiers are:

  • Sapir Nahon (88%)
  • Osher Biton (77%)

They join yesterday’s seven qualifiers:

  • Beatbox Element
  • Diana Golbi
  • Hallelujah (Halli) Lewis
  • Imri Ziv
  • Judy Layne
  • Lee Sabach
  • Ta-La-Te

One of the participants tonight was Lihi Griner who previously participated in Kdam Eurovision 2013 with the song Just like me. Despite getting full votes from the jury (40%), she failed to reach 70% and did not qualify to the next stage.

Show 3 of Rising Star 2017 will be aired on Monday, 9 January at 21:30 local time (20:30 CET). It will last for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The final is expected to be held on Show 10 in mid-February.
