Demandi, the independent information and survey platform, concerning social, cultural and political themes within Europe, have once again launched their poll dedicated to the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. In the past three years the poll has proven to be very popular with esctoday.com readers.

The Demandi survey this year is focused on the opinions of the fans, particularly regarding this year's new voting system. It will be conducted in three different languages (English, German and Russian), therefore allowing fans from several countries to take part without any language barriers. Fans will be asked their opinion on the songs but also some more complex issues are tackled such as whether the contest should be used as a platform for political issues or whether the overall performances have improved or become worse in the years for example.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
