The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has set up a special organizing commitee for the fothcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
Mr. Yevhen Nishchuk, the Minister of Culture of Ukraine introduced a draft resolution regarding the the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest at government meeting on Wednesday.
The Culture Ministry of Ukraine has prepared a resolution in accordance with instructions given at a working meeting attended by the prime minister. They concern measures to ensure Ukraine’s proper preparations for Eurovision 2017 and create a corresponding organizing committee.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr.Volodymyr Groysman has also included Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister Mr.Viacheslav Kyrylenko in the organizing committee.
Work has already kicked off in Ukraine for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The EBU and NTU had a meeting in Kiev on 1 June to discuss the requirements of hosting the contest and organizing the event next year in Ukraine.
The preliminary dates for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest have been set on 16, 18 and 20 May.
