The Dutch Eurovision Promo Concert will take place on April 18, one day after the UK Preview Party in London. Two weeks ago Marga Bult (ESC 1987) already revealed the first 6 participating countries and now we can announce another 7 countries! The event takes place in Amsterdam Marcanti and will be hosted by Marga Bult (ESC 1987) and Maggie Mc Neal (ESC 1974 and 1980).

The first list of participating countries that was releasedincluded the following artists / countries:

• Quartissimo (Slovenia)
• Lidia Kopania (Poland)
• Kejsi Tola (Albania)
• Inga & Anush (Armenia)
• Regina (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
• Nelly Ciobanu (Moldova)

The following artists can be added to the list:

• Niels Brinck (Denmark)
• Jóhanna(Iceland)
• Andrea Demirovic (Montenegro)
• Sasha Son (Lithuania)
• Copycat (Belgium)
• Christina Metaxa (Cyprus)
• Krassimir (Bulgaria)

In the next couple of days somemore artists will be revealed.In the meantime ticket sales have started. Ticketswill be priced EURO 20,00 and can bepurchased via www.amsterdam-marcanti.nl International fansand OGAE members canvisitthe concert against a reduced price of EURO 10,00 and are advised toreserve tickets via [email protected]Tickets at the door of Amsterdam Marcanti will be priced EURO 25,00.

The Eurovision Promo Concert is organised by www.songfestival.web-log.nl, OGAE Netherlands, Bea Records, café Rouge (well known café in Amsterdam) and www.esctoday.com. The aim of the event is to celebrate the 50th participation of the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest. Besides that the organisers hope to bring the '4 times winner' back on the map for Eurovision promotours. Preliminary to the concert there will be a press conference whereafter both Dutch and international press is invited to conduct interviews with the 2009 hopefuls.
