Today is the last day to vote for one of the two songs aiming to become this year's Czech representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. After two weeks, polls close and soon we'll have a winner: either Aven romale or Do you wanna will be performed by Gypsy.cz in Moscow. The announcement will be made tonight, at around 01:00 CET, at the Noc s andelem show.

Gypsy.cz were internally chosen by Czech broadcaster CT back on January 30th and on February 16th, the band presented the two songs they chose for the country's national selection for Eurovision 2009: Aven romale and Do you wanna.

A few days earlier, on March 1st, during the Noc s andelem show, the public started voting for their favourite entry via SMS. The voting closes today and the official presentation of the winning song will take place on the Andel Music Awards show, on March 21st.

The Czech Republic will compete at the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest, to take place in Moscow on May 12th. This will be the country's third participation, having tried their luck on 2007 and 2008, not successfully, as Kabát finished last in their semifinal in Helsinki and Tereza Kerndlová second last in hers last year in Belgrade.
