The Russian national final will take place in a few days and and another, 16th , participant has been included the last moment. This will be Anastasia Prihodko.

Only 2 days before the National Final, Russian jury announced that there will be 16 participants and not 15 as was stated earlier. The last minute dicision is rather an exception to the rule – Anastasia Prihodko, the winner of the last 7th Fame Story, will try her luck to represent the last's year winner-country with a song titled "Mama".

Anastasia applied to represent Ukraine at this year's Eurovision Song Contest but withdrew at the last stage due to too many scandals within the organization reagarding how trustworthy the results are.

Therefore, at the live show that will take place this saturday, March the 7th, there will be 16 contestants altogether to compete for the honour to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 that will take place in Moscow.
