Spain: Media predict Soraya or Melody

Spanish media have given undivided attention and massive coverage to tonight's Spanish Eurovision 2009 national final. Newspapers, websites, magazines radio stations and television channels are predicting a a tight two horse race between Soraya and Melody. Both the artists are hot favourites to win tonight's final and win the right to represent Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow.

Melody won the Eurovision 2009, El Retorno online selection thus beating Soraya into second place. Both artists won their respective semifinals and will be accompanied by male dancers on stage.

Soraya shot to fame in Spain when she participated in the fourth edition of Operacion Triunfo in 2005, thus achieving the second place. Since then she has enjoyed success on home soil. She has releasedfour albums: Corazon de fuego, Ochentas, Dolce Vita and Sin Miedo. La noche es para mi, the song that she will be competing with tonight is included in her latest album Sin Miedo. Soraya speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Melody shot to fame when she was a kid with her song El Baile del Gorila. She has enjoyed name and fame in Spain since she was a child. Many remember her as a child artist. She has come a long way since then, having releasedsix successful albums. She hails from the Southern Spanish city of Seville. She will bring Spanish and flamenco flavour with the song Amante de la luna at tonight's Spanish Eurovision 2009 national final.

Both Soraya and Melody have been busy giving interviews and making television appearancesin order to promote themselves and theirrespective bidding entries.The Spanish media, televisionchannels, websites and radio stationshave been devoting them extensive coverage. They all agree and predict that one of thesetwo candidates will represent Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. Spanish newspaper 20 Minutos predicts that tonight's show will be very exciting as both the candidates are hot favourites to win and have a massive fan following behind them.
