Tonight, Ireland will choose its representative for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with the National final – Eurosong 2009 being aired. Six acts will compete for the ticket to represent Ireland in Moscow.

The show to be broadcast onRTÉ ONE television to behosted byPat Kenny will start at 22:35 CET (21:35 local time) and it will be broadcast live from RTÉ Studio 4 in Dublin.Sixfinalists will present one song eachtorepresent Ireland in Moscow in May.The winner will be decided in half by a regional jury vote andthe otherhalf by public televote. The regional juries are based in Cork, Limerick, Sligo and Dublin respectively.
