Sakis Rouvas has been reported to have been taken to hospital after collapsing during rehearsals for tomorrow's Greek Eurovision song Contest selection show. During the show, he will be performing the three songs from which the public and jury will select his Eurovision Song Contest entry.

Reports from Oikotimes in Greece say that the singer collapsed during early rehearsals for tomorrow's show. There was been no statement as yet from ERT or the singer's management, and he is expected at this stage to be able to press ahead with tomorrow's live national final, to be aired in Greece and internationally.

UPDATE esctoday.com can confirm that as of 16.05 local time, Sakis was back at the Athenon Arena and proceeding with rehearsals as scheduled. The complaint was minor and precautionary and there is no doubt over his performance tomorrow night during the live show. Scare mongering about his performance seems to have been the cause. The original news was reported by Mad TV (which employs the manager of Oikotimes), whilst rival channel, Star Channel was quick to oppose the story.

During the show, and from tonight, esctoday.com members will be able to vote for their favourite song in the Greek selection process. Your votes will be used as part of the jury which makes up 60% of the total score for the final. You can read more about your chance to participate in the jury for the Greek national final here.
