Jade will perform the United Kingdom's Eurovision Song Contest entry on Wednesday night at the Greek national final in Athens. She will be a guest star along with Hadise from Turkey, Chaira from Malta, Christina Metaxas from Cyprus and Petr Elfimov from Belarus, Andrea Demirovic from Montenegro and last year's Greek representative, Kalomira will also perform.
Jade will become the first United Kingdom entrant to promote her entry in Greece in the build-up to the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow this May. It will be the second time she has performed the song in a national selection show since winning the British final, Your Country Needs You, on January 31st.
Chiara will perform her entry What if we, her third attempt to win the Eurovision Song Contest crown, during the show. Petr Elfimov will be the third Belarus entry in a row to participate in the show and Petr Elfimov and Christina Metaxas will perform the Cypriot entry. Hadise will become the second Turkish entrant to perform as a special guest in the Greek final after Sibel in 2006.
The Greek national final will take place this Wednesday 18th February and Sakis Rouvas will perform three songs. A combination of televoting and jury voting will decide which song he will sing to represent Greece at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow.
The show will be broadcast on national television and for the international viewers online via eurovision.tv and ert.gr.
