Tonight, the Netherlands will hold their national final for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. The Toppers, who were chosen internally to represent the country in Moscow, will perform all six songs before the winning songs is chosen to become the next Dutch entry in the conntest.

The show

The show willstart at 20:20(CET) and will be broadcasted live by TROS through channel 1, NED1. The winner will be announced during the second part of the show starting at 22:20 CET. Many former Dutch representatives will be present: Saskia en Serge, Ben Cramer, Heddy Lester, Teach In, Bill van Dijk, Frizzle Sizzle's Laura Vlasblom, Rosina Brochard from Harmonyand Marga Bult

The jury will be formed by Tatjana Simic (actress and singer), Daniel Dekker (radio dj), Emile Hartkamp (lyricist and producer), Getty Kaspers (leading singer of the 1975 winning song Ding a dong) and Tony Berk (managing director of a record company and former dj). The jury will have a third say in the votingand televoting will decide the remaining two third of the result.

In 2008, the Netherlands were represented by Hind, who finished 13th in the first semi final and hence did not make it to the final with Your heart belongs to me. In 2009, the country will take part in the second semi final on 14th May.
