Tonight, Slovenia will hold its national final for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. In EMA 2009, the eight qualifiers from yesterday's semi final will compete along with the six pre-qualified entry to become the country's 15th representative in the competition.

The show

Maja Martina Merljakand Peter Poles will host the show that starts at at 19:55 CET and will be broadcast on RTVSlo. 14 acts will present one song each and televoting and the expert jury (50% each) will choose the winner.

Slovenia was represented in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest be Rebeka Dremelj, who finished 11th in the first semi final with Vrag naj vzname thus not making it to the final. In 2009, Slovenia will take part in the second semi final on 14th May.
