Tonight, the final of Eurovision: Your country needs you was held. During the talent search, it was decided that Jade wil represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow performing the song It's My time written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren.
The remaining three acts competed in the final tonight. By televoting, it was decided that Jade will move forward with the song It's My time, which was performed in a different way by all acts that night. THe top three were:
- Jade
- The Twins
- Mark

The esctoday.com poll voters agreed with the televoters. Jade was the clear poll winner with 54.4%. Mark had finished second with 35.1% and the Twins third with 10.5%.
The United Kingdom was represented in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest by Andy Abraham, who finished equal 23rd and therefore last with Even if. Nevertheless, the country is directly qualified for the final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest because of the 'big4' rule.
