After three elimination shows, the United Kingdom will decide tonight who will represent the country at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. The remaing three acts in the talent search Eurovision: Your country needs you will compete to represent the country with the song My time – written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren – in Moscow.

The show

The three acts that qualified last week will perform three songs each live with an orchestra – a new song, one song they have already performed in an earlier show and My time. The show to be broadcast on BBC ONE will start at 19:40CET (18:40 local time) and it will be hosted by Graham Norton, who follows in the footsteps of Terry Wogan.

The United Kingdom was represented in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest by Andy Abraham, who finished equal 23rd and therefore last with Even if. Nevertheless, the country is directly qualified for the final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest because of the 'big4' rule.
