Vous cherchez for an Amir interview?  France’s 2016 Eurovision Song Contest representative speaks below…

A former finalist on The Voice France, Amir Haddad was selected to represent France at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest by French public broadcaster France 2.  His entry, J’ai cherché (I Have Been Looking For) is (as of 1 April) fourth favourite to win the competition with bookmakers across Europe.

In the English language interview lasting three minutes and twenty-five seconds, Amir speaks of his love for the Eurovision Song Contest and the deep honour he feels representing his country.  Amir also shares a memory of trying to follow Conchita Wurst’s triumph at the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 via his cellphone – a Grand Final he could not watch, as it coincided with his participation on The Voice France.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest takes place at the Globen Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on 10, 12 and 14 May.  As France is a “Big Five” nation, Amir receives automatic qualification into the Grand Final on Saturday 14 May.
