Everything is ready at the Romanian broadcaster to select the song that will represent Romania in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight the first semi final will take place where the first 12 songs will compete. Only 6 of them will pass to the final which will be on Saturday while the second semifinal takes place on Thursday.
During the whole week various TV shows at the Romanian national television will take place in order to present the 24 semifinalists.
The show
TVR will start the Eurovision race tomorrow at 19:15(CET) with the first semifinal while the voting process will be 50% televoting and 50% jury.

In 2008, Romania was represented by Nico & Vlad who finished seventh in the first semi final and 20th in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest with their entry Pe-o margine de lume.
