National final veteran Páll Rósinkrans opens this semi final with his ballad. He delivers a confident and professional but very simple performance of his entry. The ballad is a straightforwardbut slightly datedcomposition that might well get lost in a field of more than 40 entries at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Current poll result: 22.2% (3rd)
All in black Ingóappears on stage. He performs his sweet little guitar pop song accompanying himself on the ukulele. The vocals are flawless (but the song is probably not too demanding). His navy-themed background performers fit well in the overall performance. Generally a song that is definitely different but if this could do well in Moscow?
Current poll result: 9.3% (4th)
Hreindís follows in the style of the four songs presented last week. Although the vocals are not flawless, the rather naive aura works very well with this entry and almost manages to create the magical atmosphere intended. An entry that might have won the Eurovision Song Contest by a landslide in the mid 1990s.
Current poll result: 24.1% (2nd)
A very solid and straightforward performance in black and red, classic Eurovision colours. This song probably has the biggest chances of reaching the final being the most catchy up-tempo entry in thisheat.
The results will be announced during the second part of the show.
Ingó and Hreindís Ylva Garðarsdóttir made it to the final.
