Former British entrants to the Eurovision Song Cost Gina G & Sonia, are to take part in a new reality TV show on commercial network ITV in the UK.
Along with other pop has-beens of the British music industry, Tony Hadley (former lead of group Spandau Ballet), double act Dollar and Elkie Brooks, Gina G & Sonia will tour the US in a show titled Reborn in the USA.
The Saturday night show, to be presented by popular UK presenter Davina McCall, will follow the acts as they travel the US in a tour bus playing bars and clubs.
Local audiences will choose their favourites and the two least popular singers will be put through to a Pop Idol style televote in which one of the singers will be kicked off the bus.
The series begins in the spring and the tour will take in New Orleans, Philadelphia, Detriot, Memphis, Nashville, Cleveland and New York.
The artists will perform cover versions of songs connected to each city they visit.
Sonia & Gina G must be hoping that this will be a chance to resurrect their careers.
