Spain: TVE removes 4,300 fraudulent votes

Spanish broadcaster RTVE has detected and removed a total of 4,300 fraudulent votes, most of them cast to singers in the Hip-hop/rap category.

Since the very moment when TVE opened the selection process for Eurovision 2009, thebroadcaster stressed that the whole process would be overseen to avoid fake or fraudulent voting. Now, the public corporation has announced that 4,300 votes submitted via illegal methods have been removed. Those are:

  • XXL Negga (Hip-hop/rap)- 759 votes
  • Jammy & Shark (Hip-hop/rap)- 748 votes
  • Aid (Hip-hop/rap)- 732 votes
  • Depresión Post-Parto (Hip-hop/rap)- 708 votes
  • Patrix y los raperos (Hip-hop/rap)- 692 votes
  • Antonio el Gato (Others)- 577 votes
  • Marcelo Guntin (Pop/Rock)- 88 votes
