Sweden: UPD E.M.D. the last Melodifestivalen wildcard

The fourth and last wildcard for the 2009 Melodifestivalen has just been announced by the Swedish broadcaster. It is boyband E.M.D. and they will be competing in the third semi final, on 21 February in Leksand with Baby goodbye , a song they co-wrote with Oscar Gorres.

UPD The last artist has also been revealed today so the Melodifestivalen lineup is now complete. The song Higher will be performed by the Star Pilots.

Erik Segerstedt, Mattias Andréasson and Danny Saucedo are E.M.D, all three of them Swedish Idol finalists in 2006 (Erik and Danny) and 2007 (Mattias). Last December, they released their first single, All for love, which remained in the Swedish charts for 17 weeks, peaking at number 1. E.M.D’s first album, A state of mind, was released in May and it also shot to #1 of the charts.
