Sweden: Melodifestivalen semi finals lineup announced

This morning the thirty two acts participating in Melodifestivalen 2009, the Swedish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest have been divided in the four semi finals to be held in February in Gothenburg, Skellefteå, Leksand and Malmo. The final takes place at Globen, Stockholm on Saturday March 14th.

With two names still missing from the list this is the way the 32 acts have been devided by SVT in the four heats of Melodifestivalen 2009 (in alphabetical order by song title)

Competition producer, Christer Björkman said "I hope and believe that we have been successful and that the viewers will appreciate the mix of songs that we have this year". Melodifestivalen project leader, Ronnie Lans added "I think this is going to be one of the closest and most exciting line-ups for many years. Every city will have a fantastic show with a great variety of artists".
