The first Bulgarian wildcard announced so far by BNT, Krassimir Avramov, will be releasing the video for his entry Illusion on 20 December. The video was entirely filmed in the city of Vidin, on the banks of the Danube. esctoday.com revealed his participation in an exlusive interview in six weeks ago.

Krassimir, who shares his time between the United States and Bulgaria, will be competing in the Be a star final, the Bulgarian preselection for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, as one of the three wildcards whose songs will be produced by BNT. For the needs of the video, Krassimir transforms into a medieval knight caught in a brutal battle and is fatally wounded. The last moments of his life he spends reflecting on that part of his past involving a beautiful woman and passionate love.

The video, produced by Michail Menkedjiev, known in Bulgaria for the production of hit TV show Forbidden love, and directed by Valery Milev also features Bulgarian supermodel Biliana Yotovska in the role of Krassimir's loved one. The story takes place at the historic fortress Babini Vidini Kuli in the city of Vidin, on the banks of the Danube River and photoshoots took place in the vicinity of the village Jeleznitza near Sofia. The entire production was entrusted to the hands of executive producer Ivan Salchev.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
