Andorran broadcaster RTVA have slightly changed their plans for the country's national selection for Eurovision 2009. As RTVA informs on their website, a new deadline to submit entries has been set on December 1st. According to the broadcaster, this change comes after RTVA received EBU's rules and dates concerning national selection processes.

Some two weeks ago, RTVA made public the rules for the country's national selection for Eurovision 2009. The submission deadline was initially set for December 31st. The broadcaster have decided to move it to December 1st, so it is now less than one month left for all those interested in entering the Andorran selection to submit their entries.

Despite the new early deadline, the Andorran public broadcaster expects to receive many high-quality compositions, which will be evaluated and selected by an expert jury next December.

Jury will choose the singers and three songs in total. Later, in January, the selected entries will fight to win the Andorran ticket to Moscow 2009 through four special programmes. The winner will be chosen via SMS by the Andorran public.

Andorra has never been able to reach the final in none of its five participations. The Principality was close to reach this aim in Helsinki 2007, when Anonymous came 12th in the semifinal. This year, Gisela only managed to place 15th.
