LIVE

The show has started. Of course, the rokish opening song is not in the running for representing Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest.

1. Iliyan Tsvetanov – Tozi Ritam

The first song tonight is an average up-tempo disco song. The vocals are not outstanding and the slightly nasal voice of the singer does not really work with the song. The performance is straighforward and works with the song even if it has no high recognition value.

2. Teodora Kutsarova – Droga

Some old-school rap music at number two tonight, an entry that might not stand out in the rap scene but is refreshingly different in such a competition. Teodora's voice is not too strong but works well with the song. However, she seems a bit lost on stage performing the song all alone in a modest black outfit.

3. Ruth – Sometimes

Number three tonight could not be more different: an orchestral musical ballad. The vocals are by far the strongest tonight although still not perfect. Generally the performance and the arrangement seem a bit over-the-top for the rather simple but charming melody.

4. Deyan Dzhenkov – Imam tvoeto ime

A rather tuneless ballad with no recognition valuethat probaly has no great chance of doing well in this competition. The vocals start off quite well but the singer goes off-key after a few lines.

5. Moto – Razstoyaniya

This is probaly one of those songs that make you feel you have heard them before. The song is somewhere between pop, folk and soft rock but will probably not be remembered when heard for the first time. The performers do not really seem to feel at ease on stage. However, regarding the other entries tonight this one should still have a chance to qualify.

Televoting results:

  1. Deyan Dzhenkov – 37.21 %
  2. Iliyan Tsvetanov – 28.52 %
  3. Moto – 16.60 %
  4. Teodora Kutsarova- 11.42 %
  5. Ruth – 6.25 % (jury choice)
