Laka, the Bosnian representative at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest is nominated as best act in the regional Balkan category (Best Adriatic Act) at the forthcoming MTV Europe Awards scheduled to be held in Liverpool on the 6th of November. Laka will be competing against Jinx, Marchelo, T.B.X. and LeeloJamais in order to achieve the award.
The MTV Best Adriatic Award is awarded to artists from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Croatia and Serbia. This year theBosnian 2008 Eurovision representative is in the line up for the award. Laka represented Bosnia & Herzegovina with the song Pokusaj which achieved a 10th place at the Eurovision Song Contest final in Belgrade. Both the song and the artist are currently enjoying fame, name, glory and popularity in the former Yugoslav countries. Pokusaj has been given extensive airplay in the region and has become quite popular among listeners.
In other categories 2008, Morandi and Andra from the Romanian national final are nominated for Best Romanian Act and La Casa Azul are nominated for Best Spanish Act after competing in the Spanish selection earlier this year.
