Anabel Conde who is well remembered for her Eurovision participation back in 1995 is back to musical scene and is all set to conquer the hearts of the Spanish public at the forthcoming 2008 Candelaria Song Festival. She achieved a honourable 2nd place with the song Vuelve conmigo at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin.

Anabel hails from the beautiful town of Fuengirola, in the southern Andalusian province of Malaga. She will be competing at the forthcoming Candelaria Song Festival scheduled to be held in the Canary Islands, with the song Troya and Fire. Anabel's song has been composed by none other than Rafael Artesero, the man behind the Andorran Eurovision entries in 2005 and 2006. Rafael Artesero was also behind the runner up song La reina de la noche, at last year's Spanish Eurovision national final Mision Eurovision. Rafael won the composer's award at last year's Candelaria Song Festival.

Anabel has not enjoyed much success in her musical career after her successful performance at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest. She tried to come back to the Eurovision Song Contest again in 2000, where she competed in the Spanish Eurovision heats Eurocancion 2000,only achieving a 4th place. Since then she's been a part of the Alcatraz Orchestra.Vuelve conmigo and Anabel Conde still hold the best results for the Spanish nation at the Eurovision Song Contestin the span of the last 28 years.
