Big Poll 2008 : Semi 2 results!

by Richard West-Soley 93 views

With mere hours to go until the full line-up of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 final is known, we can reveal the results of the Big Poll 2008 figures for the second semi-final!

As if mirroring the bookmaker's predictions, Ukraine and Sweden battle it out for supremacy at the top of the table. However, for the fans it is Sweden at the top of the pile, just pipping Ani Lorak's Shady Lady. Already, big poll trends were bucked in Tuesday's semi-final, with the fan favourite making it to the final for the first time ever. This will give heart to Sweden's Charlotte, occupying the same, once-jinxed position.

Interestingly, if only fans from countries voting tonight are counted, then Belarus grabs the precarious tenth spot. However, if the votes of all fans are included, then Denmark leap-frogs up a place, knocking Belarus down to swipe away the last safe place. Just a single point separates them in both scenarios.

The full results are as follows:

Sweden
2
Ukraine
3
Switzerland
4
Iceland
5
Turkey
6
Bulgaria
7
Portugal
8
