Like every year, you, the readers, were asked to cast your votes in the annual esctoday.com Big Poll. This poll is a prediction poll and now let's look at the outcome.

The Big Poll top ten were as follows:

2. Armenia
3. Greece
4. Norway
5. Slovenia
6. Romania
7. Israel
8. Ireland
9. Poland
10. Azerbaijan

No less than eight of the ten countries made it to the final. The only non-qualifiers are Slovenia and Ireland. Furthermore, Laka from Bosnia & Herzegovina, who qualifed for Saturday, was placed 11th in the prediction getting only one point less than the representatives from Azerbaijan. Furthermore, for the first time since 2004, a predicted semi final winner actually made it to the final – previously Selma (2005), Kate Ryan (2006) and Olivia Lewis (2007) were all eliminated before the final.
