TVE the national Spanish broadcaster has released its agenda for the forthcoming Eurovision week. The Spanish broadcaster will only televise the 1st Eurovision Semi Final on May the 20th where they are entitled to vote, along with the Eurovision final on the 24th of May. A special Eurovision show will be aired on the 21st of May entitled 'Europasion.' Followed by a Pre Eurovision Gala on the 24th of May entitled Salvemos Eurovision Con Chikilicuatre.
TVE will be having an extensive coverage on the Eurovision Song Contest from Belgrade, kicking off this weekend when its representative Rodolfo Chikilicuatre will be arriving in the Serbian capital. Special live transmissions will be made with Belgrade updating the Spanish viewers with the latest developments and news bulletins concerning the Spanish 2008 Eurovision representative and entry.
The 1st Eurovision semi final will be broadcast live on TVE 2 at 21:00 CET on Tuesday the 20th of May. A special Eurovision show will be aired the next dayWednesday21st of May,at 22:00 CET on TVE1, entitled Europasion paying tribute to the Eurovision Song Contest. Raffaella Cara will be hosting the show where the Spanish viewers will get the chance to select their all time favourite Spanish Eurovision melody. Former Eurovision stars such as David Civera, Rosa, Sergio Dalma and Maria Isabel have been invited as special guests to perform some of the former Spanish Eurovision entries. They will be joined by other famous Spanish singers: Alaska, Marta Sanchez and David Bustamante to mention a few.
On Saturday May the 24th TVE1 will air a Pre Eurovision Gala entitled Salvemos Eurovision Con Chikilicuatre ( Lets Save Eurovision With Chilkilcuatre). TVE will broadcast this special gala at 18:00 CET on TVE 1 followed by the live transmission of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest Finalat 21:00 CET on TVE1.
