OGAE Serbia: 12 points to Sweden

The official fan club of 2008 Eurovision Song Contest host country, Serbia, has declared it's votes for the OGAE Scoreboard. They have awarded Sweden their third top marks from the opening five juries in a run away win according to local memnbers. Armenia took second place, ahead of a close battle for third place involving four countries.

OGAE Serbia members could not vote for their own country. After the top two, there was a close battle for third place, won by Portugal with 127 votes. One behind was Greece, and a further three points back, Bosnia and Herzegovina with six points, ahead of Ukraine on a countback system. Norway were seventh, ahead of Israel who took eight place, scoring points for a second time in a row. Switzerland were in a disappointing nineth place, slipping from the top of the leaderboard. Albania took the last point with tenth place, nudging Cyprus from the top ten by a single point.

The results give Sweden a 10 point lead in the overall scoreboard, with Armenia closing to within touching distance of second placed Switzerland. Portugal move up to fourth ahead of Serbia, who could not vote form themselves. After five jury votes, more than half of the 2008 entrants have scored their first points.

Update, due to a technical hitch, the score for San Marino had not appeared on the scoreboard. After calls to our Technical Meester Neuff, all votes have been rechecked and verified, and the scoreboard now accurately reflects the votes of San Marino and all countries…. and now… on with the voting.
