Slovenia: Online video competition for Vrag naj vzame

by Stella Floras 74 views

An online video competition has been launched in Slovenia, through the Superstore website for the best home video of Vrag naj vzame, this year's Slovenian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest by Rebeka Dremelj. First prize for one lucky Slovenian winner is an HP Compaq laptop.

All Slovenian Rebeka's fans are welcome to submit a video with their own interpretation of this year's Slovenian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. There is no deadline for the submission of the fans' videos in this online competition for the best home video of Vrag naj vzame. The first videos are already online and more will be added as they arrive. The visitors of the website will be able to vote for their favourite video, so the earlier a video is submitted, the more time it will remain online and the more views and hopefully votes it can get. The results of the competition will be announced around mid May. Due to Slovenian legislation, it is not possible for fans outside the country to be eligible for a prize. The organisers of the competition have assured us, though, that they will be happy to post any videos from international fans ( in Slovenian or English)although those will not be able to participate in the voting.

The Superstore website follows closely Rebeka's activities but only not just as far as her preparations for Belgrade are concerned. The popular Slovenian singer also stars in a house building reality show on Slovenian TV and you can watch past episodes here.

All videos must be submitted here.

You can watch the videos already online here.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
