Moldova will hold the second semi-final of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden, tonight.

A total of 24 songs were selected to partake in the two semi finals of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016 in Moldova. From the first round of candidates in semi-final 1 on 23 February, eight finalists for the grand final have already been chosen.

Tonight, semi-final 2 will see the remaining 12 candidates take the stage. Again, eight acts will proceed to the grand final on 27 February 2016, seven songs will be chosen by a combination of public televote and expert jury vote, while the eighth qualifier will be chosen from the remaining songs via additional televote. The eighth qualifier will be revealed in a special discussion show following the semi-final, completing the field of contestants for the grand final of O Melodie Pentru Europa 2016.

The show will be broadcast from TRM Studio 2, Chişinău, and will be hosted by Mihaela Crânov and Sergiu Beznițchi. The alternative rock band Gândul Mâtei will give a guest performance.
