O Julissi Na Jalini, the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, has reached the first place in the Ultratop 50 single charts in Flanders. Just like the previous two editions of Eurosong – won by Xandee and Kate Ryan – Eurosong 2008 offers the winner a number one hit in the charts.
Ishtar entered the Ultratop 50 at number seven last week. This week the group climbed to the first place. The winners of Eurosong traditionally score well in the charts since the introduction of Ultratop 50, the official single charts in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels. Also Xandee with 1 Life in 2004 and Kate Ryan with Je T'Adore in 2006 reached the first position in the Flemish single charts after their Eurosong victory.
Lisa Del Bo reached the second place with Liefde Is Een Kaartspel in 1996. Vanessa Chinitor with Like The Wind in 1999 and Sergio with Sister in 2002 both reached the third place.
