Czech Republic: CT plans to announce candidate by late February

CT, the Czech national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that it is planning to reveal the name of its 2016 Eurovision act by late February.

The Czech broadcaster is working round the clock in order to present its 2016 Eurovision act and entry. The 2016 Czech Eurovision entry is expected to be premiered by the end of the month.

There is much anticipation and excitement among the Eurovision circles regarding the mystery of who will fly the Czech flag in Stockholm, come May.

The Czech Republic has opted for an internal selection for selecting its Eurovision act and song for Stockholm. ESCToday has learned that the Czech Eurovision hopeful has already been selected.

In 2015 CT selected Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta were selected via an internal selection in order to represent the Czech Republic at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Czech Republic debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 and is yet to win the event.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12 and 14 May at the Globen Arena in Stockholm.
