During the audition for the talent search programme Pop In, which will select maximum five backing singers for the Maltese entry in Riga, 80 young talents showed up in their desire to convince the four judges that they deserved to be given this special opportunity. Out of these, 24 singers were selected.
The audition was organized in the studio of the broadcaster PBS. Each of the 80 youths had to perform a song live for the engaged judges. Afterwards, they had to answer several questions the judges had prepared.
The series will be broadcasted once a week at TV channel TVM, starting up on Sunday 12 January at 18:45. Just like during the audition, there will be four judges investigating the artists during the actual shows as well. Each week, a number of singers will have to leave the programme. The hosts of the series will be Mireille Bonello and Jonathan Abela.
