The appointment of Zeljko Joksimovic as a host of 53rd Eurovision Song Contest to be held in May in Belgrade`s Arena seems to be under question now. Since he is the composer of the Beovizija`s winning song, Oro, sang by Jelena Tomasevic, there is a possibility that the EBU Reference Group could see this as a conflict of interest.

Director of RTS, Aleksandar Tijanic told Serbian newspaper Blic: "For us, Zeljko Joksimovic is still the host and we are negotiating with the EBU that it stays that way. My opinion is that there is no conflict of interest, since there is no way Zeljko, as a host, can influence the voting."

In the beginning of next week, delegations of all participating countries are meetingin Belgrade to attend the drawwhich will determine the running order of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. According to Blic, it will then bedecided whether Zeljko Joksimovic will remain as host together with his female colleague Jovana Jankovic.
