Russia: Dima Bilan returns to Eurovision

The russian final ended several minutes ago and the big winner is announced. He is the well known to Eurovision song contest audience, Dima Bilan! The 2006 runner-up has been chosen to represent the country for a second time with the Timbaland track Believe

Dima Bilan won the Russian national final tonight having gathered maximum points from the jury and from the televoting. He performed 10th as in the final two years ago at Eurovision song contest 2006 in Athens. He sang a song produced by Timbaland titled Believe.

Asthe results were announced and Bilan was called on stage, the singer was crying not making it to the stage immediately. Eventually, through tears of joy, he performed once again his entry. Maria Serifovic, the last year's winner, handed the prize certificate which states the right to represent the country at the Eurovision song contest 2008 in Belgrade.

Dima Bilan participates in the National Final for the third time. In 2006 in Athens he represented Russia withthe ballad "Never let you go" andfinished second.
