Tonight, Belgium will have its National Final to decide its representative for the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade.

In cooperation with belgovision.com, the five songs competing tonight are:

01. Brahim – What I like about you
Brahim takes part in Eurosong 2008 with What I like about you, a song he wrote together with American songwriter Alan Glass. Brahim participates in the Belgian Eurovision Song Contest selections for the second time. With the song P.O.W.E.R. he reached the final of Eurosong 2006. Brahim finished second in the first heat and received the jury's wildcard after the semifinals of Eurosong 2008.

02. Paranoiacs – Shout it out
The Paranoiacs take part in Eurosong 2008 with Shout it out. Hans Stevens wrote the music of the song. His brother Raf Stevens was in charge of the lyrics. Together they are the leaders of the Paranoiacs, a band that has been making music for almost 25 years and already scored a couple of hits. The Paranoiacs finished second in the fourth heat of Eurosong 2008 and second once again in the first semifinal.

03. Nelson – When I can't find love
Nelson takes part in Eurosong 2008 with When I can't find love. The song was written by Nelson Moraïs himself. Eurosong 2008 isn't Nelson's first Eurosong appearance. In 2004 he accompanied his sister Elsie Moraïs on the stage of Eurosong as backing singer for the song Amore Loco. Nelson won the third heat and the first semifinal of Eurosong 2008.

04. Sandrine – I feel the same way
Sandrine takes part in Eurosong 2008 with I feel the same way. The song was written by Lawson / Vettese / Howard, the three songwriters who earlier wrote Sandrine's biggest hit so far, Goosebumps. Sandrine was discovered in Idols 2004 on VTM. This year she plans to release new material. Sandrine won the fourth heat of Eurosong 2008 and finished second in the second semifinal.

05. Ishtar – O julissi na jalini
The group Isthar takes part in Eurosong 2008 with O julissi na jalini. The song was written by Michel Vangheluwe, one of the ten members of the group which had to be reduced in numbers on the stage of Eurosong 2008. Following the example of Sanomi, O julissi na jalini is sung in a made-up language. Ishtar won the second heat and the second semifinal of Eurosong 2008.

In the final of Eurosong 2008, the jury composed of Marcel Vanthilt, Kris Wauters and former Eurovision Song Contest winner Katrina Leskanich gives voting advice only. The audience decides by televoting who will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade.

Belgium takes part in the first Eurovision Song Contest semi-final on Tuesday 20th May.
