Trijntje Oosterhuis (42) already has two sons from a previous marriage, Jonas and Marijn, while her partner Alvin Lewis has a son from a previous relationship, Eljah. The name Maël Joni is a combination of the boy’s names Marijn, Eljah an Jonas. Maël is born into a musical family; Trijntje’s brother is composer and producer Tjeerd Oosterhuis, who is married to Edsilia Rombley (Eurovision 1998 and 2007), while Alvin’s twin sister is Berget Lewis (Dutch preselection for Eurovision 2003), member of the group Ladies Of Soul, in which Trijntje also sings.
